About Larry Richardson

I have been a professional nature photographer and wildlife biologist my entire career.  Having retired in 2015 from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; Florida Panther and Ten Thousand Islands Refuges, I now devote my time to photography, lectures and consulting. I was the President of the North American Nature Photography Association and Vice President of the Florida Camera Club Council.  For nearly 20 years I was the Naples Zoo photographer. When the Zoo became a non-profit, I was elected as the first Board president. I have been featured in dozens of television shows and on most TV networks.  My images, prose and scientific research appear in publications worldwide.  I also co-authored the book, “Florida’s Unsung Wilderness – The Swamps”.  What I hate about writing this is that I’m just bragging.  What I want you to know is my photography is a window to Nature, revealing its beauty to everyone, especially to those who might never see it first hand.
