As a photographer and a wildlife biologist, practicing both for over 40 years, I have seen the world in a way few people get to experience. Photography is a passion of mine, the landscape is my canvas and wild things, places and people are my source of inspiration. As a nature photographer I am used to seeing the wilderness through a camera, framed by the viewfinder. The lens provides a window to another world where in focusing on a subject I find focus in my life; where my images are as much about our environment as they are about me. After all, many of us will affirm there is a bit of our own character reflected in the photographs we create. And beyond self-interests, I want my work to bear witness to who we are as humans andhowwe are doing as stewards. After all, as our canvas is diminished, so is our ability to speak for Nature.
